Eligibility criterion
- A diploma or B.sc in nursing
- With at least one year of clinical experience
Nurses interested to go to Canada, must write 2 exams.
- CRNE (Canadian Registered Nurse Exam)
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
This CRN exam is conducted by CNA to measure the capability of Overseas Nurse in the field of Nursing.
As Academic IELTS is mandatory for the CRN Exam, they should meet required band score depends upon the state(s) they wish to get registered.
This CRN exam is conducted by the Canadian Council Yearly 3 times i.e., in the month of February, June and October. And this exam conducted by the CNA (Canadian Nurses Association) in Canada.
6 steps to be followed to get full fledged registration:
1. Submit an application for licensure to the board of nursing where you wish to be licensed. Provide all the supporting documents as per the requirements of the State Nursing Board.
2. Meet all of the board of nursing’s eligibility requirements for the preliminary assessment & assessment. For the Requirements you can visit the links of the State nursing board(s) where you wish to be licensed.
3. Receive the decision letter either for the temporary work permit or SEC assessment.
4. If SEC assessment is assigned for you, undergo SEC assessment and then receive Temporary permit Eligibility to work as a Graduate nurse and while working you can write your CRNE.
5. If you have got directly Temporary permit Eligibility then you can start to work as a Graduate nurse and while working you can write your CRNE.
6.Once you pass the CRNE and have met the prescribed working hours as a graduate nurse according to the state nursing board(s) instruction and then you will be given an RN number.
Here you have got your Full fledged Nursing Registration in Canada state board(s).You can start to work as an RN over there. |
