How to write CRNE

1. Submit an application for licensure to the board of nursing where you wish to be licensed. Application package contains Application forms, Education transcript verification form, Registration verification form, Documentation of Experience form and English proficiency test score verification and also the other forms are according to the State(s) Nursing board. All of the verification should be sent to the Canadian State(s) Nursing council directly from the concerned authority.

2. Once all of the required documents received and met all of the board of nursing’s eligibility requirements by the Canadian State Nursing council where you wish to be licensed, and then assessment will be held on the candidates’ documents. If they are satisfied, you will receive the decision letter either for the temporary work permit or SEC assessment. 3. If SEC assessment is assigned for you, you need to undergo SEC assessment in the approved colleges in Canada then your result will be sent to the State(s) Nursing council. If the result is satisfied and then you will receive Temporary permit Eligibility to work as a Graduate nurse and while working you can write your CRNE.

The Substantially Equivalent Competence (SEC) assessment involves paper and pencil examinations and clinical lab and case management situations designed to allow you to demonstrate your ability to meet the competencies expected of Registered Nurses in Canada.

4. If you have got directly Temporary permit Eligibility, you can start to work as a Graduate nurse and while working you can register for your CRNE and write the Exam .You can select your test centers according to the availability in the state nursing board(s).
